The predecessor of this committee, the Special Committee on Research Focused on the Model Core Curriculum for Medical Education, was primarily engaged in the project commissioned by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, which focused on "Research on the Training of Healthcare Professionals in Universities."
Moving forward, this special committee will focus on supporting the implementation of the Model Core Curriculum for Medical Education, including initiatives such as the Japanese Core Curriculum dedicated website (https://core-curriculum.jp/).
