Standing Committees
Information and Communication Technology Education Committee
(ICT教育委員会)
The Information and Communication Technology Education Committee focuses primarily on three pillars of activity: (1) academic examination of ICT education, (2) sharing the latest insights on AI and medical education, and (3) sharing good practices. The predecessor, the ICT Education Section, has been disseminating information to members through workshops at society conferences.
In recent years, there has been a rapid increase in the demand for online education due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, the revised Model Core Curriculum for Medical Education in 2022 has included "the ability to utilize information and scientific technology." The rapid development of generative AI has raised various applications and ethical considerations, leading to a situation where diverse responses related to ICT education are required.
In response to these developments, we aim to collaborate with many stakeholders to organize and publish knowledge necessary for ICT education in the training of the next generation of healthcare professionals.
