Editorial Board of Medical Education (Japan)
(学会誌編集委員会)
The Editorial Board of Medical Education(Japan) is responsible for editing the peer-reviewed open-access journal "Medical Education (Japan)," published by the Japan Society for Medical Education.
"Medical Education" publishes scholarly articles not only focused on medical education for physicians and medical students but also broadly on the training of healthcare professionals. The journal features introductions to educational practices from both domestic and international contexts and organizes special issues and invited papers on important themes of the time. Furthermore, it provides a platform for information sharing and exchange of opinions among members, contributing to the enhancement of medical and healthcare education and the advancement of research.
In addition to reviewing the acceptance of submitted papers, the Editorial Board aims to promote medical education research and hosts workshops at the society's conferences. When sending peer review results, especially rejection notifications, the committee strives to include comments from the responsible editor to facilitate future research endeavors. The goal is to create an academic journal that authors feel glad to have submitted to, serving as a medium that conveys the times and serves as a reference for future medical educators.
In the 23rd term, a major revision of submission guidelines will be implemented. All committee members are committed to further enhancing the journal "Medical Education (Japan).
